La Grande Épicerie de Paris

You like Le Bon Marché, so you’ll like L’Epicerie du Bon Marché.

L’Epicerie du Bon Marché is one of those places beyond reach for an average purse holder, but still it’s a place where we love spending a few Euros from time to time. If I told you it’s a supermarket, it would devalue the place: it looks more like a giant grocery rather than like the aggressive and garish shelving of large retail chains.

A place you would cross Paris for, and even a little more

At L’Epicerie du Bon Marché, French and worldwide best products are selected, packaged and presented in the most refined ways. You can come across the district inhabitants –one of Paris’ richest– while they do their shopping, or across the neighborhood’s workers picking up their lunchtime sandwich, and even a few lost tourists who do not know how to make the most of this timeless place. The grocery of Le Bon Marché has succeeded to avoid becoming a touristy spot, but it is a place you would cross Paris for, and even a little more.
