Standard Hotel

Whether in Meatpacking or East Village, the Standard Hotel is clearly a meeting point for the neighborhood trendy residents.

Symbol of a new form of hotel business, the Standard Hotel has replicated a version of trendy traveling through the United States (Miami, Los Angeles and obviously NYC). The two Manhattan hotels, in addition to a contemporary, and sometimes delirious, design –what’s that fish wallpaper in the elevator?– offer quite incredible views of the city, especially the High Line. The Standard straddles the High Line that has contributed to the revival of this old industrial district.

We suggest you to download the application offered by the Hotel, ‘One Night Standard’ (you understand the barely hidden pun?) to see if rooms at budget prices are available for the very evening. If that’s the case, avoid restaurant, grab a bottle of wine or champagne, bring your date at the hotel, and do what you have to do. It’s always nicer with stunning views of NYC rather than in a Brooklyn Airbnb studio.
