Happy Ending

A scandalous aura still surrounds Happy Ending. With its provocative name and the ongoing NYPD investigations, Happy Ending stirs up passions as well as the miscellaneous news section.

Make no mistake, the carpet is thick, the grand piano is working, the drinks go easily up to 13$, and it is not that easy to go through the bouncer phase if you are not among Lower Manhattan’s beautiful people. Happy Ending gathers all that is shady. Girls who look like models, men financially able to buy several bottles to each one of them and a very Europeanized late 70’s atmosphere – it is not unusual to hear Gainsbourg or Nina Hagen tracks – that encourages concupiscence either upstairs over a meal prepared by a star-studded chef or, downstairs on the dancefloor. We can certainly say that we go there for the decoration or for the finesse of the cuisine and the DJs’ performances, but you’re not fooling anyone. It is indeed the venue’s irreverent spirit that draws in the crowds since time immemorial.
